The internationally acclaimed Neapolitan-American tenor Pasquale Esposito takes us on an unforgettable sleigh ride with his Holiday journey, beaming down from the heavens, the twinkling stars across the Christmas skies of America. The program is reminiscent of the great Christmas programs from the Golden Age of Television, shows that we still watch and enjoy today. This spectacular event: PASQUALE ESPOSITO: IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS was artfully crafted together with Maestro Adriano Pennino and the Orchestra Talenti Napoletani, filmed at the historic Teatro Politeama in Naples, Italy in January 2020.
He created a masterpiece, sprinkled with angel dust, to celebrate his 4th PBS Special, his offerings inspiring us from the Bay of Naples, full of carols from his days in the Church choir and traditional Neapolitan songs. Then life carried Pasquale on his path across his musical bridge to the San Francisco Bay, where he found an array of new-found and stunning Holiday Season offerings—both traditional and commercial.
Dazzling his audience with a delightful presentation full of stunning color, music and dance, he begins with “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” just because it is! This emotion-filled program amazes and surprises viewers with the mystery and intrigue of the hauntingly sublime “Mary, Did You Know?” and carries them all on a wondrous path to the charming and playful pop favorites! Pasquale’s celebrated Italian guests include pop star Sal Da Vinci and the very popular man-of-the-cloth, Friar Alessandro, overwhelmed, along with Pasquale, by the audience response—jumping right out of their seats! The finale gives the audience a unique view of Pasquale’s original composition, his heart and treasure with “Vale.”
